Canada Study Visa under SDS more English Test Added
If you want to study in Canada, you must currently have an IELTS score in order to apply for a study visa using the SDS (Study Direct Stream). But beginning August 10, 2023, you will have a choice of English proficiency test that you can use to apply for your Canada Study Visa under SDS. This development was welcome news for many applicants who were having trouble passing the IELTS or who wanted choice
The tests that will now qualify for (SDS Study Direct Stream) application processing in Canada Study Visa are listed below. Although IELTS will still be taken into account, the following have been added to the list for applications for SDS Canada Study Visas.
Along with IELTS Canadian Immigration has introduced following newly eligible tests:
- CELPIP General
- CAEL
- PTE Academic
- TOEFL iBT Test
Following is the score that would be required to be able to qualify for Canada visa filling under SDS
· CELPIP general tests must show a score that is equivalent to of at least 7 in each of the four language speaking abilities
· CAEL and Pearson PTE Academic test results must show a minimum score of 60.
· Educational Testing Service (ETS) TOEFL iBT Test need a minimum score of 83.
· IELTS is still accepted with 6 band in each module.
